The Grumman E-1 Tracer was the first purpose-built airborne early warning aircraft used by the United States Navy. It was a derivative of the Grumman C-1 Trader and entered service in 1958. It was replaced by the more modern Grumman E-2 Hawkeye by the 1970s.

SERVICE WITH ESTOVIA
Estovian Forces have been using it since 1965 and as been upgrading it ever since, refitting it from a radial engine to a more powerful turboprops. It's radar has also been swapped for better aircraft detection. It has been used extensively since.

    Both the Air Force and the Navy has partially retired them in 1979 and replaced them with E-3s and E-2s. Most E-1s were modernized the same way as you stated and continued service with Estovian Air National Guard units and saw limited service in the war
