F-51 Stallion
So one day I decided to try to challenge the cutting edge design of Jundroo's version of the P-51 Mustang. I jumped to the drawing board, put on Into The Fire by Thirteen Senses, and started thinking. I took sight to the angled wings, fuel, firepower, and body design. Then I ended up with a model similar to this. I did some tweaking with the flaps, placement of the guns, configuration of the wing landing gear, added safety features, and completely redesigned the Schmitar blades. I made sure I didn't forget a good paint job too. After that, I tested it of course! Matched it with a dogfight and a trench run against a P-51 Mustang AND a P-51 Mustang with a T3000 engine, and the results were slightly better than my expectations. My design beat both models in both challenges! So I think it deserves a spot on the workshop. DETAILS: beats the p-51 in speed, maneuverability, and firepower, but barely beat in turn radius. 1 = Nav Lights. 2 = Emergency Parachute. 8 = Beacon Light on the tail. Evasive turning may shake the plane slightly, but shouldn't lose control.
