As washington naval treaty quote: "Naval Strategy Is Build Strategy" which is why we see a lot of ww1 ships still fighting in ww2, notably warspite, probably USS Texas?
@Tang0five well i mean the Hood was made in ww1 which is probably why they made it anyway, supposedly there will be another three of the admiral class, but only hood was done, supposedly having an armor uprate but it was never done so the deck get that nice thin around 5-inch thicc armor
Liking your work with these ships, what’s with the hull arrangement back aft?
Battlecruisers against battleships. The navy never learnt it’s lesson at Jutland. They were no match for a standup battleships, they were never intended to take them on. @TrislandianAlliance
@TrislandianAlliance damn thanks for sharing !
And trust me im not looking at wikipedia for all of this jibber jabbers
The HMS Hood, one of the most advanced Battlecruiser that the british navy have, this ship is "The Pride Of The Royal Navy" boasting speed up to 34kn and have 8x 14inch main gun in four different turret, this ship is sunk by KMS Bismarck in Denmark strait or what would be called Battle Of Denmark Strait, this ship sunk probably by a shell from KMS Bismarck that struck HMS Hood thin deck armor and detonated the ammo storage of HMS Hood, some crew of HMS Prince Of Wales said that they see turret number one of HMS Hood is firing at 90° angle, probably as a desperate last shot before the ship truly sank, note that both ship distance never got much closer than 21.000 yards and plunging fire is pretty much to be expected, another ship from royal navy, the HMS Prince Of Wales which is still very new and untested had sustained a pretty huge damage to its hull, with HMS Prince Of Wales turret stuck the Prince Of Wales is out of action
