The spotter drone mounted on the back allows you to use the ship's shell predictor over distances which would not normally be possible. It can hit targets accurately up to 7nm providing that you can aim.
TO LAUNCH SPOTTER
Step1-Disable AG8(Ship's engines).
Step2-Throttle 100%
Step3-AG1 Enable (Spotter Engine) and Disable after propeller spool up.
Step4-AG3 To release Spotter.
Step5-AG2 enable to enable cannon traverse

Fly the spotter out to target area and you can now utilise the predictor.

IMPORTANT NOTE
TURN OFF AG1 AFTER LAUNCH. AG1 ENABLES WIDER AND FASTER AIMING OF THE CANNON FOR CLOSE RANGE. IT WILL MESS UP AIM AT LONGER RANGES. USE ONLY AG2 FOR LONG RANGE
