John Deere Model D
This is my favorite model of John Deere. I don't own one, though. I have an A, but not this one. Someday. They're surprisingly expensive, considering that they were $1000 brand new and they made so many of these...
The D had the longest run of any model of John Deere tractor, the styled and unstyled versions ran from March 1, 1923 until July 3, 1953. It had 38.2 drawbar horsepower and 42.05 belt horsepower. It weighed 6000-8125 pounds and was 130 inches long. It was due to stop production in 1952 like the rest of the lettered series tractors, but it was so popular that they built them for another year in the streets next to the factory. You can group Ds into three groups: unsettled, styled and streeters(which were also styled). I don't know what model I made here. I was aiming for a styled one, but I can't tell if the radiator looks like. Google "Styled John Deere D" and look at some front views and tell me if it looks like what you see.
Throttle up and VTOL forward to go forward. VTOL back for reverse. Activators 1-3 activate different gears. Don't use 3 in reverse. Use yaw to steer. Never press 6. (Or should I say... 666?) Enjoy!
