Douglas DC-3 (Ethiopian Air Lines)

Notes:

The Douglas DC-3, a workhorse for many years. The plane is a special one, especially in my country, Ethiopia. The aircraft served many routes domestically, and internationally. The plane would make many flights to Dire Dawa, Addis Ababa, Gondar (formal capital of Ethiopia), Bahir Dar, Lalibela, and many more. The aircraft was a workhorse of Ethiopian Airlines for many years, thanks to its ability to land on the grass runways, and the grassy plains, serving many passengers. It was a easily recognizable aircraft, almost majestic. It's the reason I have created it. It's such a beautiful aircraft, and I haven't actually made any Ethiopian planes, because I wasn't ready. Well, now I'm ready. This plane means a lot to me because it's one I wanted to be perfect. So I did things I'd normally not do, such as extra xml modding on the engines, and actual letters. On the right side emblazoned on is "Ethiopian", and on the left side, in Amharic translated is "EAL", the former name of Ethiopian Airlines, as it used to stand for Ethiopian Air Lines. I have named it, "The Spirit Of Gondar" as it used to be a workhorse there, and was used by royalty, and Gondar is filled with beautiful castles, so that was an easy choice.

Some special thanks to:

@chickenisderp helped me with the cockpit, and the landing gear. A prototype is posted on his account that you can check out, because without his work, it wouldn't look even close to the aircraft I wanted.

@UltraLight helped me with some xml modding advice, because I usually stick jet engines inside the aircraft, but this is solely powered by the 2 engines you see.

@OrangeConnor it's most likely pulling quite hard. The plane requires a lot of power when flying, and has a lot of drag. Pulling the plane up, will cause a stall, causing a sharp turn. The sharp turn leads into a dive, in an attempt to gain speed. 3 times out of 15, the plane saved itself, from a height of 5,000-10,000. the rest were lower and failures

@WiiMini for whatever reason pitching will cause it to suddenly roll. this has always been a sort of death sentence for a project for me because I've never understood what causes it and how to fix it.

@OrangeConnor don't pull hard on the pitch, and it does pretty well, based on flight tests. Pulling hard causes a stall very quickly.
