Dullahan, the first and only ship of her class, is an experimental design based on one of the unfinished hull of the Regen Class destroyer. Dullahan has intergrated the newest electronic system into her design, along with a new AA suite. Sextuple 37mm/85 AA mount offers almost twice the muzzle velocity than the older mountings. The crown jewel, however, is the all new 55mm/70 AA cannon. She utilize a completely new design, with the mounting being much more compact and most importantly, able to use VT fuse to take down planes far more efficiently.

While Dullahan was not completed during wartime, she participated a few patrols during small-scale conflicts in the late 50s. During one of the patrols, she came under attack from a pair of enemy jet attackers. While the 55mm cannon manage to down one, another one launched an anti-ship missile, and it hit the mid-section of the ship. Fires and flooding however was quickly suppressed by the damage control crew, with the crew later jokingly mentioned had they not acted quick enough, the ship could have become the real Dullahan. She became one of the first ship to have been struck by an anti-ship missile, as well as one of the first ship to have survived a missile. Nonetheless, this encounter has encouraged the navy the develop guided missile destroyers to counter the increasing threat from planes.

Due to her valiant action, she was kept as a museum ship.
