Introduction

A long time ago i started a series of fighter aircraft starting in the pre WW1 era all the way through to WW2 and onwards. I decided to revisit this with a late WW2 fighter.

Based loosely from a lot of different aircraft:
P51 Mustang = fin
F8F Bearcat = tail plane
Sea fury = Fuselage/colour scheme
P47 Thunderbolt = main wing
None are these parts are 100% scale but the overall shape is used.

Controls

AG1 = start your engine
AG2 = shut the canopy
AG3 = arrestor hook
AG6 = fold wing tips up
AG7 = bail out (always helps if you are inverted and the canopy is open)
VTOL dn = flaps
LG = landing gear

    @RamboJutter yea it is. Honestly when I check out people's builds, the landing gear is one is the first things I look at. If the "stolk gear" is used I usually pass it up.

    @Skykid028 thanks, glad you like them. The landing gear us always the most difficult part on my builds so it's nice seen someone notices them.

    What I love about your builds is the small detail in them, especially the landing gear

    It reminds me of the fairey Wyvern which irl and In war thunder just straight up rapes your eardrums and makes them explode due to the fact that they are counter rotating turboprops@RamboJutter

    Police Officer: that’s the man?
    Me: yeah that’s the man who raped my ears

    Giving me Westland Wyvern S.4 vibes.
    Good plane though.

    Yeah, and you are free to build as you want. I don't care. But I like seeing something like this. Nicely done! @RamboJutter

    @Tang0five Well you got me looking at that firecrest... do you want a sneak peak of what i have turned it into =)

    @Hedero thanks =) I do have to admit that i did use quite a few of my template parts though, but in this instance i also pretty much rebuilt them as i went, so they are both pre-made and not pre-made lol. I do try to use new parts on all my builds but sometimes a pre-made bit just fits nicely. For instance my next build has a completely new build fuselage, tail, fin but the wing and engines are from my stock pile but again i have rebuilt wingtips, engine nacelles etc. so not just plug and play.

    Thank you for not using pre-made parts for once! I love seeing something a little more unique. I mean no offense when saying that, but I enjoy seeing something different.

    @RamboJutter the corsair was the one whom everyone really knows, I dont think I have ever seen another gull wing aircraft that wasn't a corsair. And now that you say that I can see the 47 in it. I still love the aircraft, definitely sexy, but basically 800 parts? My phone would just pfff

    @PapaKernels yeah the layout is P47 when you look at the top view but the gull wing part always gets accredited to the corsair even though there where a fair few other gull wing aircraft.

    @Tang0five Lol, i did tend to build more than one kit at once, I also was quite intrigued by swapping pieces about but i never actually glued them together. Kit bashing just took too much skill for me, i did get some inspiration from here from time to time.

    Im glad to see you are still around as well, its been a while since i have seen one of your creations pop up on my lists. I may very well do some further WW2 stuff, my last few jet builds have been flops to say the least (fun to build and play with though).

    Rambo.... were you the type, who as a child mixed up his airfix sets deliberately by any chance ;) :) :) Gull wing reminiscent of the bb firecrest (what a beaut that thing is). Speaking of I think RJ ltd need to do another collaboration with Blackburn. Maybe a firecrest/brand amalgamation that was conceived shortly at the outbreak of war? Good to see you still sharing these with us!
