In 1948, design work on the IL-15 began to meet the Soviet Air Force's needs for a jet ground attack aircraft.
1949, the IL-15 prototype was completed and made its first test flight at the end of the year.
1950, the IL-15 began small-volume production and was put into use in the Korean War, mainly for ground attack missions.
1953, with the end of the war, production of the IL-15 was gradually reduced, but it continued to serve in the Soviet Air Force until it was replaced by more advanced fighters
Please note: Do not open the canopy during flight, otherwise it may turn into a Su-27 (Cobra Maneuver)
