SF-2
The SF was a military test plane, designed and built by the military equipment company R-MV.Only 2 SF's were ever built. The SF's was built to test a new wing technology, which would enable planes to fly at high speeds, while still being able to glide a little so that it doesn't need very long runways for landing. (Unlike R.A.F.C.'s phantom and cheetah series) They also fitted it with an experimental landing gear. The SF-1 was detroyed on its first flight in a crash near yeager airport. A few seconds after departure on runway 19L at Yeager airport, the main hydraulic system failed, and fuel was heavily leaking leading to a severe pressure drop in its 2 pistons and the plane starting to burn mid-air. Both wings were ripped off and the plane crashed nose-first into the ocean. The pilot and technician both died on impact on the ground of the ocean and the SF-1 was damaged beyond repair. R-MV found the reason for the failure (the pump wasn't capable of producing enough pressure, exploded due to the drag pressing the wings against the pistons and shrapnel from the explosion cut open the fuel tank) and so 1 year after that (August 2008) they started constructing the SF-2. The SF-2 was intensely tested on ground and on a few flights between Yeager and Bandit airport, and it was decided that they should fly it at fullspeed. The SF-2's first full speed test flight was on 18th of December 2009. The main focus of this test flight was to test if the hydraulics and electronics would be able to handle high speeds. Departure was at bandit airport (09:20pm) and the destination was Wright airport. Until 09:21pm They faced no problems. But while decreasing throttle to 50%, half of the left back wing ripped off, resulting in the plane spinning out. The SF-2 crashed into the water at 09:23pm and had to be rescued by the USS Beast fleet. The plane had no major damage, except for the ripped off wing. The Pilot and on-board technician only received small cut wounds and bruises from the crash, due to a slight malfunction in the ejectio
