Bristol Beaufighter TF Mk.X

Gents,

This kite represents the ultimate British version of the Beau. The Torbeau, to be exact.

A real bugbear for Axis mariners and ground pounders alike, this beast could carry bombs, torps and rockets in addition to her cannon and mg armament.

This is the Beaufighter TF Mk.X. Although in hind sight I should probably have made this an Aussie CAC Beaufighter Mk.21. Although that version had 4x .50 call mgs in the wings and a Vickers K in the tail...

Regardless, go blow stuff up!

Yeah we did pretty horrendously against the Japanese in the Pacific theatre. Underestimating your adversary can be costly. I read a bio on an ex RAF pilot who was there at the fall of Singapore and his opinion was the defence of Singapore and the campaign leading up to is was an utter farce. To be fair you have to agree with then man - the sinking of the Repulse and Prince of Wales, the complete lack of defences on the landward side of Singapore and of course the eventual surrender of an army that outnumbered the attacker. Not our finest hour by any means. @GhostHTX

Indeed. As flown by the brave chaps of the RAAF in the Solomons, 1943 onward against the Japs. Which, btw, was my all time favourite campaign in IL-2 1946. @Tang0five
