The Phantom XB-2a was originally intended to be the bomber, a bomber so fast and powerful that no missile or aircraft could defeat it. Designed as a direct variant to the Phantom B-2 Heavy long range bomber. Despite the beautiful design the original intent could never come to fruition and it has thus been released as “XB-2a” the ‘X’ defines it as experimental.
