The Shattering Skua is the most notable of the USS' flying boat bombers. As a twin-fuselage seaplane, it's got a high endurance and carrying capacity compared to the medium bombers of other factions. Their main purpose is to enforce the trade monopoly by acting as maritime patrol aircraft. It's unusual configuration is inspired by the Savoia-marchetti SM.55, and is aimed at both avoiding asymmetrical thrust in case of engine failure and avoiding the need for internal bomb rack mechanisms, thus simplifying maintenance.
