An attempt at a recon plane from TIA. The R-1 is a single engine plane that was meant to fly at a high altitude. The R-1 has no way to defend itself and, usually, was not fast enough to out run another jet. If intercepted, the R-1 would be easy prey. Because of this, the R-1 would only be used if there was no threat of an enemy intercept, which wasn't very often.
