Backstory:

The D'analyse Cardinale Aerospace CSP (Cargo SeaPlane) Series was a series of prop (Piston for early variants and turboprop for later variants) powered twin boom sea planes that were capable of carrying container vans up to 4 tons in capacity. The XSP-1 is an experimental derivative of the CSP series, replacing the prop engines with non-afterburning turbofans.

The twin seat aircraft had a much higher cruising speed thanks to the turbofans, having been placed on the inner side of each boom, slightly above the wings, the jets are relatively far from seawater upon takeoff. Since the aircraft is a Twin boom with Twin engines and Twin seats, It has gained the nickname "Triple Twin"

Upon further testing, D'analyse Cardinale concluded that while the XSP-1 was indeed faster and had about the same range, the increased cost of production only had them produce the aircraft in limited numbers. Another slight issue that was noted was that the drag caused by the container vans was more noticable due to the jet's high speed. Nonetheless, the issue can be addressed with an adjustment to the trim.

After the experiments concluded, D'analyse Cardinale made a limited production run of 8 units for their own use. XSP-1's often land on Opera Epiclesse Airport to deliver parts and raw materials to the D'analyse Manufacturing plant. Sometimes the Seaplanes would have their container vans loaded directly from the ships of Port Ormos for a faster delivery to the plant.

Lady Furina always enjoys watching them take off, both from land and water.

Ag. 7 Canopy
Ag. 8 Nav lights

Vtol for flaps

Seaplane Instructions:

Take off at 120 knots IAS over land or water with flaps at 50%

Don't land too hard with cargo on

Additional Trivia:

  • Most of the plane was inspired by the Dehavilland Vixen.
  • If this plane were to be designed in the real world it would be around the early 1980s to 1990s
  • I dont know why I made it with the container van visible.... It's a werid concept but at least it allows the cargo ships to load cargo on it with their cranes
  • Flying the plane is very fun

Please Enjoy~
