1981 -- Two Libyan SU-22s fired AA-2 "Atoll" missiles at F-14s on patrol in the Mediterranean Sea. The F-14s engaged, and the dogfight was over in one minute, followed by the F-14 pilots radio call back to the USS Nimitz "Splash Two". DET=1 then DET=2 to launch the Atoll missiles. Cockpit view recommended, these missiles fly FAST and straight in level flight above the islands; VTOL for wing sweep.

@nickasaurusrex No, I tried and don't like the detached-spring missiles, so maybe checkout WalrusAircraft and PlanesOfOld tools, they have posted them.

FYI: these missiles are built just for this model, and so far, they're about the fastest that fly straight that I've built so far. Someday soon, guess I'll post a toolbox with all my weapons which are really not used elsewhere on SP. @nickasaurusrex
