F76 F1 car.
About
as the name suggests, it was designed to compete in the 1976 season, where it was driven by Niki Lauda's younger brother, Miki Lauda. Despite this being miki's first season, he finished third. Test drivers said that the cockpit was "surprisingly spacious" and that the state of the art control assistance system was "very intuitive".
The F76 has a naturally aspirated, rear-mounted V8 manufactured by GKBL motors.
The GKBL 76 can produce up to 500 hp, and a top speed of around 320 km/h.
FunkyTrees
Constants
cMaxSpd = 120
controls the maximum speed, but depending on the cMagicNum it will be lower
115 in enhanced version
cMagicNum = 50
Controls the rate at which engine and steering power decreases
60 in enhanced version
Formulas
Activate3 & GS > 15 ? 0 : (Pitch * (cMaxSpd - GS) / (GS < (cMaxSpd * 0.35) ? (cMagicNum * 0.75) : cMagicNum) )
Thanks to a big brain FunkyTrees formula, its power gradually decreases, and after around 60 km/h, the rate at which the power decreases almost doubles, allowing for realistic acceleration and a smooth speed cap.
clamped between 1 and -1 in enhanced version (in link below)
(Roll * (cMaxSpd - GS) / cMagicNum )
A similar formula is used for steering, but it is the same for both directions, which means there's no need for a separate reverse mode.
