B-17 Flying Fortress Mk. II
~~~~~~ Low Settings Required on Mobile Devices~~~~~~
The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress is a four-engine heavy bomber aircraft developed in the 1930s for the United States Army Air Corps (USAAC). The B-17 was primarily employed by the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) in the daylight precision strategic bombing campaign of World War II against German industrial and military targets.
I did some cosmetic and flight characteristic modifications. I added gun turrets and lateral gun ports, a new paint job, and adjusted the wings. It has stiff handling (its a heavy bomber so its not meant to be agile) but flys straight and true.
She is equipped with a payload of 15 '500lbs' bombs that are released by detachment #2. The pilot has a choice to jettison the landing gear for smoother aerodynamics using detachment #1. Be a mindful bombardier and be sure to drop the payload at level flight or you might crash into your own bombs!
You might have to turn down your graphics settings if on a phone/tablet.
1,098 Timinator1400Hey Scriefer, I'm back at it again building another heavy bomber and I'd love to know how you manage to make the rounded turrets on your planes. In other words, how you stuff the structural wings inside the rounded corners.9.8 years ago
