Otto Lilienthal's Glider

In five years between 1891 and 1896 Otto constructed seven gliders (five monoplanes and two biplanes) and made over 2000 ever-improving flights from hill sites at Stieglitz and in the Rhinow Mountains near Stöllen. He flew distances up to 400 m (1312 ft) and reached heights of 25 m (82 ft).

Controls

Throttle - Running
Yaw - Turning (This only works on the ground because of a self deativating gyro)
Pitch - Legs Forward/Backwards
Roll - Legs Left/Right

Flight model

The Lilienthal's Glider was controled by shifting the center of mass by moving your legs my replica is controled in the same way this coases some problems tho for example above the speed of 190 Km/h(118 Mp/h) you cant pich down. The Roll is also quite slow you can pich up while truning to increse the G-forces witch increses the Roll speed

Taking off

  • Where to take off :
in game i found 2 locatcions close enough to cliffs steep enough to take off the Blue Galicial Park and the Rattlesnake Racetrack
  • How to take off :
    1-Run off a clif
2-Pitch down to gain speed (Moving the legs forward also shifts the center of mass forward makeing you more stable at low speeds)
    3-Pitch up to gain altitude

If your having trouble taking off setting up a light headwind might help
