Arado Ar 196 Hidroplane Japanese version.
This construction is based on the Arado 196, used by both the German and Japanese armies in World War II. The truth is that I have spent a little time on it, I hope I can put a mobile speed and altitude marker on it, as well as some details. like crystals and throttle, but I think it has an acceptable finish. I hope you like the plane.
Flight Notes.
To take off, flaps level (Trim) completely down, engine at full power and little joystick. From 1000 ft, the plane stabilizes, but adjust the flaps little by little, I recommend keeping them at 80% for stable flight .
AG1 Start engine.AG2 Ignite rear gun (Vtol turn)AG3 Activate cockpit opening (Vtol open)AG4 Float rudders (Vtol gyro) Honestly, for skidding in the water and little else.Greetings to all!
History:
The Arado Ar 196, was conceived as a two-seater, amphibious aircraft shipped by designer Walter Blume in 1936 in response to the specifications required by the German Air Ministry for a catapult hydroplane in order to meet the needs of the Luftwaffe units in charge of provide the Kriegsmarine with the necessary aircraft. It sought to standardize its onboard aviation and replace the Heinkel He 50 and Heinkel He 114. Many proposals were presented from both Dornier, Focke Wulf, Gotta and Arado, the latter being the one who presented a more competitive and advanced monoplane design (with folding wings) compared to hitherto conventional biplane designs.
The first prototype with two pontoons flew in 1938 and in 1939 the first Arado Ar 196 A-1 units were delivered, followed by the A-2 series up to the A-5.
A prototype equipped only with an elongated grille that was also considered in the Air Ministry's proposal, the Ar 196 B did not have much acceptance in the Kriegsmarine and was only produced to a limited extent.
