Boom Overture 3.0 with Full Interior [GOLD SPECIAL]
After 1 month of delays and 2 weeks of building, it's finally here.

No one!
Yes, 100% of this plane is built by me. It's the first time I've built a replica completely from scratch, and judging from the sheer number of Ts in my teaser post, I've done well.
Although, I did figure out how to make the fuselage control surfaces and working flaps using this tutorial.
If you're editing this aircraft, remember to credit me!
Some Words
Once again, thank you for helping me reach gold! It's been a month and a lot has happened, but I still give my thanks to everyone who supports me!
I don't have much else to say, considering that I've just fallen ill. Anyway, on to the description!
Oh, and before I forget, RCP Airways is now a member of Skyteam!
Features
- Blueprint-accurate design
- Full cabin interior with 53 seats, baggage compartments and overhead lighting (I had to design the interior myself because there aren't any interior renders for this version of the Overture)
- Detailed RCP Airways "Gold Ribbon" livery (fictional)
- Ability to land smoothly (if you try hard enough!)
The proof
Minor Flaws
- No cockpit interior (you'll find out why I made this decision)
- Banks slightly to the left during cruise flight (you can correct it using ailerons)
- Unable to go faster than 1300km/h (701 knots); when it does, it starts to break apart. This is because the main wing contains multiple wing pieces so that the gull wing shape is achieved. As such, the engine power only allows the plane to fly at just over the speed of sound, which is about 1250km/h.
The Overture crossing the sound barrier
About the Redesigned Boom Overture
In 2003, the only SST left in operation, the Concorde, flew for the very last time, closing the doors to the age of supersonic travel.
As such, in the 2010s, several private companies each made their own supersonic transport concepts to try to bring these glory days back. Boom was one of them, with its Overture airliner and a supersonic demonstrator, the XB-1.
The Overture has already gone through several design iterations. In 2022, Boom released renders of its latest design.
This is a complete redesign of the aircraft; it looks absolutely nothing like the more traditional delta-wing designs that the previous versions of the Overture had.
1.0...
versus 2.0...
versus 3.0.
In October 2022, Rolls-Royce, the intended manufacturer for the Overture's engines, suddenly pulled out of the program. This left the plane without its engines.
As a result, Boom decided to develop its own engine, called the Symphony. It is partnering with GE Additive and Florida Turbine Technologies, a subsidiary of Kratos, to build the new engine.
Boom is now also working with Northrop Grumman to make a military variant of the Overture, to be used for quick military response and aerial command.
The New Changes
- A contoured (curved) fuselage, to optimise airflow, reduce drag and increase fuel efficiency.
- A "compound modified delta planform", which allows the Overture to fly better at subsonic speeds.
- Gull wings, which reduce supersonic noise and stress to the engines
- 4 engines instead of 3, to make the Overture fulfil noise regulations and allow the engines to be easier to produce.
- Reduced cruise speed of Mach 1.7, with overland flights having a cruise speed of Mach 0.97.
- Able to operate on 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Interesting Things I Found About The Design
- The plane doesn't have any cockpit windows. Look closely at the renders. Yes, it doesn't have any windows visible at the front, only a black stripe. It's unusual as the previous 2 Overture designs have cockpit windows. When they released the release video, I had to replay it to confirm it.
- The engines are tilted backwards. Again, go look at the renders to see what I mean.
- The Overture now looks a lot like the Boeing 2707, America's previous attempt at building an SST.

How did this get curated when it doesn’t even have a cockpit lol
So I've figured out that the plane exploded like you guys said because you used the elevators during supersonic flight.
For this plane, just don't touch the elevators.
Instead, use the trim lever (on the right side of the screen) to pitch up and down.
Also for ailerons, be gentle with them and make small inputs.

This plane is now 2nd on the front page, thank you all so much!
edit: and it's now officially my best plane
Military ahh overture on the description?
sounds sigma to me. 🗿

Neat!
I know it may sound dumb but what did you use to add the images? Thanks in advance :3

99 UPVOTES AHHHHHH JUST ONE MOREEEE
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes I'll do that but when I'm feeling goofy just know...
Just 5 more upvotes to 100…
Concord that goes to the gym
The love child of the Concord and 747 with a stretched out Beluga cockpit paint job, lol.
you can even say it's the Boeing 2707 pro max
Thank you
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes OK
@SlowSeline82 I can recommend you this instead
Nice!!!, can you make DC-10 KLM please! @RepublicOfCursedPlanes
