Untertasse III
The easy controls, slow speed, and lack of precision of the Untertasse I and II seem to be outclassed by normal fighters, especially due to how hard it is to aim at a small enemy with the craft. Due to this outclassing, the Weimar Federation (reformed by Engel Ludwig into a federation after president Freud’s death in 1948) focused on a new fighter concept, but still based on the idea of swarm tactics. However, the Untertasse Project still continued but was aimed at the civilian market. Comfort and safety have become top priority, and with this, the Untertasse III was created. Due to its rigid shape, it can survive crashes up to over 100mph! On top of this, it is extremely easy to control just like the first of its line, less prone to breaking from normal flight patterns, and is also more spacious and unarmed as well. That isn’t to say that guns can’t be mounted, as it is quite a modular craft. Most civilians who own Untertasses tend to be German and American commuters.

Hmmmmmm @Tarquez
Maybe an underside engine for liftoff, then a switch for main engine? Just a suggestion.
