Do-578 Albatross A-1
The Do-378 Albatross A-1 is a post-war aircraft that the Reichsluftfahrtministerium ordered after the end of World War II. After Germany won World War II (by an assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler, which resulted in a change of leadership, which led to the expulsion of the nationalsotialism and the war could be won), the Kriegsmarine needed a new reconnaissance aircraft for the battle ships. The Reichsluftfahrtsministerium mandated Dornier (because there were already good experiences with the Do-544 El Dorado) a jet engine plane that can start and land on water. This proved to be more difficult than imagined, however, since the water is not allowed to enter the turbine at the start. The air intake had to be increased. And by the way, this story is NOT real. I have only thought about it to make the plane a little more interesting :)
