Warbird FAD-157 Gladius

Background

The current fleet of fighters mostly dedicated to sea-based multi-role fighters like MIGSU - G 2000 and Harfark Blue Mako. Air force needs for land-based combat aircraft that follows air missions doctrine are currently all-time high. Air force already has Warbird - 3 Palehorse but she started to show the age. She deemed 'not advanced enough' and retiring plans have discussed. The standard has changed and they need to adapt.
Under the Project 'Mihaly', they assigned Warbird Corp.

Design and Description

FAD-157 codename 'Gladius' is a single-seat, twin-engine, air superiority fighter. Gladius follows the design principle of the current same role aircraft like F-15, SU-35, etc. FAD-157 boasts high maneuverability by build in an unstable configuration. It also using 2 powerful engines to provide high TWR and supercruise. It has three surfaces configuration and the addition of Thrust Vectoring Control (TVC). This provides the fighter with artificial stability and also allows the aircraft to pull Post Stall Maneuver (PSM). Although PSM capable, the design focused on high maneuverability. That means the PSM is just a capability feature. It integrated with AESA radar with mechanical steering to increase maximum beam angle. The radar will point in the direction of the selected target.
Officially classified as Air superiority fighter but it open to the possibility of ground munition installation, making it objectively a multirole fighter

Note
- Tend to uncontrollable spin if pitch too hard below 700kmh
- Any uncontrollable spin could be stabilized by Ag2 (activating TVC)
- PSM in dogfight kinda hard. Missile just won't hit, especially range below 900m. Switch to the gun if insist on doing PSM in a dogfight unless target range above 900m.
