"The Centurion, the very fighter that withstood the test of battles, air and time, symbolized our air force as a whole. It represented strength, guts, firmness and command, all while keeping its resilience, versatility and adaptability as time aged. Until now, it still stood out, flying high as a proud Maharlikan, our fellow soldier and pride."

-A Maharlikan Air Force Pilot from the 84th Fighter Squadron, 5th Air Wing

Overview

The Maharlikan Aerospace MaF-18 Centurion is a supersonic, twin-engine, two-seat, twin-tail, variable-sweep wing fighter aircraft that was developed for the Maharlikan Republic Air Force and Navy's Advanced Multirole Fighter Experimental(AMFX) as a response to the increasing outside threats. First flying on November 4, 1967, the Centurion is one of the longest-servicing and successful fighters in the arsenal and the first fighter that is entirely developed and produced by Maharlikan Aerospace.

The fighter is designed as an air superiority fighter and a long-range strike interceptor with multirole capabilities, ease of maintenance and future weapon and avionics upgrades in mind. Owing to its high thrust-to-weight ratio and high maneuverability, the Centurion is one of the most maneuverable fighter jets thanks to its variable-sweep wing design, thrust vector control and low weight. It is also capable of carrying heavy munitions such as guided precision bombs and cruise missiles without compromising its performance, which makes the fighter fit for a various range of multirole missions.

Over the course of its service, the MaF-18 saw active duty in various conflicts and became the valuable asset of the Maharlikan Republic Air Force and Navy, amassing over 59 kills recorded and no losses to enemy action. The legacy extends beyond Maharlika thanks to successful exports to various countries. With constant upgrades on the existing units and the current development of a new variant, the Centurion became the symbol of the air force, symbolizing the will of the Maharlikan pilots to defend their homeland and fight for peace.

Author's Note

So basically, this happens when an F-14D and an F-15EX had a baby(LOL). Anyways, this has to be the longest project I have worked on, incorporating new building techniques and of course, funky trees. The thing on this aircraft is that the flaps are pretty much useless because it doesn't give enough lift at low speeds.

I want to give credits to Uchanka for the codes on the sweep-wing mechanism, JS01 on several advices and Beefy for the digital altimeter. Go check their profiles for awesome builds!!

Happy Flying, Boiis!
