Summary
Designed as a contemporary to the legendary Lysander, the Alcidas was far less extensive service but was in many ways a better aircraft. Its only shortcoming was being smaller and shorter ranges than the Lysander. Saw service throughout WW2.

Vmax- 220mph in level flight at 1000ft.
100-0mph: approx 10 seconds when braking at maximum safe levels.

Landing Instructions
Landings can be precarious due to the layout of the landing gear, as an incorrect landing can destroy the propeller. Thefollowing will allow a safe landing:
- Reduce airspeed to approx 120mph
Flaps to full
Descend toward LZ at an angle no greater than -20°
Reduce airspeed to around 100mph
Flare approach, nose should be at a max angle of +5°
Touch down,ideally with a three-point landing
Cut Throttle, and brake gently (no more than 50% braking force should be used)
