[Bell XV-3]

465 Veolosi5  5.7 years ago

The Bell XV-3 first flew in 1955 and the knowledge gained from the XV-3 went on to aid in the development of the Bell XV-15 which flew in 1977 which itself was developed into the Bell V-22 Osprey (which flew in 1989).

And YES I am well aware of the fact that this aircraft has issues with vertical flight. THAT'S WHY IT'S LISTED AS EXPERIMENTAL.
