FC-1 is a fighter with the main design goal of performing subsonic and transonic air superiority combat missions at medium and low altitudes. Its overall layout and aerodynamic design level exceed those of Chinese aircraft such as J-7, which is close to the standard of the third generation fighter. The medium swept-back wing with strake wings makes FC-1 fighter have better maneuverability, and the wing-body fusion structure and rear side trim also make the structural efficiency of the aircraft greatly improved compared with the conventional design.
