MBT-8A Sentinel

8.4 years ago
The heaviest tank ever used by the N.F.K.s armies. It ways 66 tons, or 132,000 lbs. It has very good sights and information technology. It also has heavy -ss armor, nearly equivalent to the Victoria Mk5.
It also sports a 122 gun, and a human loader. It also doesn't require ERA or a TUCK kit. Despite it's armor, it is still very quick and manuverable. Enjoy, it also has better crew ergonomics.
[This is replacing the MBT-6 in all roles]

@GoldenEagle
@PINK Yes, I prefer 14.5mm due to the Immense damage comparable to 20mm shells, as well as the high penetration values which with my newest HEAV shells can penetrate up to 80mm of RHA at 90 degrees
The AA gun is a 12.7mm, however 14.5mms aren't uncommon. @TemDesBur
@PINK Ahh I see
NATO standard, 7.62mm by 51mm@TemDesBur
@PINK What is the coaxial and commander Armarment? KPVT 14.5mm? 20mm? 12.7mm?
We would rather learn on our own, however, than you for the offer. @Pilotmario
I see. Our approach is to continue to upgrade whatever we have unless said replacement is either significantly better or the same price and performance of an upgrade. If you needed an assault tank, we would allow you to use the Victoria. The main advantage the Victoria has over the MBT-8 is the fact the former is a more mature design and is already in production, where the latter has just entered service and will need upgrades based on field reports, and will take some time to fully develop. @PINK
The 8 preforms the same role as the Victoria, and has very different armor than the other two. The 5 is an all round tank similar in role the M6 and the 7 shares many components with the 5. It has many of the same automotive and technological components with the 5.
Now, the 7 is befallen the same fate as the Avenger. They don't all preform the same roles. @Pilotmario
Also note that a new design means retooling and retraining, both which cost lots of time, effort, and money. @PINK
You have three designs which perform virtually the same task. We have three designs which perform very different tasks. In fact, we really have two main designs, since the Avenger isn't really used as a tank and instead is the base chassis used in virtually every heavy tracked AFV in Paternian service. Most upgrades can be done to existing machines through the replacement of components designs to be replaced such as engines, guns, and turrets. The base hull of the M6 is the same as in other variants. Likewise, the M5 hull saw few changes. @PINK
Refer to this list.@Pilotmario
Pick an MBT design and go with it. You already have the MBT-1, MBT-2, MBT-3, MBT-4, MBT-5, MBT-6, and MBT-7, all which are completely new machines with a few common components and are nearly identical in combat performance.
We have the may have the Ardent, the Victoria, and the Avenger, all with distinct characteristics. The Ardent was designed as a balance between firepower, armor, mobility, and economy. The Victoria emphasizes firepower and armor over mobility and economy, while the Avenger was designed with an emphasis on mobility, followed by economy, firepower, and armor.
The M6A3 and M6A4 Ardent comprises of the bulk of armored units, while the Victoria is only issued to Assault divisions and Armored units with the "Guards" title, a title only bestowed to the units which have performed the best, and are considered elite. The Avenger no longer serves as a gun tank except for training purposes, its roles taken over by the M6A3/A4 and the M8. However, it remains in service in specialist roles such as SPAAG, APC, IFV, SPG, Combat Engineering Vehicle, command tank, and ARV.
Given the scale of the conflict, MBT-1 to 8 are employed in the field, each with a set of unique components and requirements. While this is the case with the Ardent, Avenger, and Victoria, there is only three machines instead of eight. @PINK
It isn't very big. @Gmanndo1000
@PINK It's big, I like big tanks.
We only have 3 designs in service, same as you. @Pilotmario
I know. However, it's like my newer fighters, but spead the f-ck. The older MBT-4(-) designs are like my old EF series. They we sh-t, and it took a while to create a series of three types that had any actual combat abilitys. @Pilotmario
In what way. @Pilotmario
IMO, you should stick to one design and go with it. You've gone through MBT designs faster than Greece goes through bailout money. Our logistics personnel feel very sorry for your logistics personnel. @PINK
Very similar to Victoria M5 in design.
I have done that with both. @BogdanX
I have seen that done with wing guns. @BogdanX
It is a rocket pod, I cannot XML mod. @BogdanX
What do you think. @Gmanndo1000
Nice!
