Piasecki HUP-1 Retriever
The Piasecki HUP Retriever/H-25 Army Mule is a compact single radial engine, twin overlapping tandem rotor utility helicopter developed by the Piasecki Helicopter Corporation of Morton, Pennsylvania. Designed to a United States Navy specification, the helicopter was produced from 1949 to 1954, and was also used by the United States Army and foreign navies. The HUP/H-25 was the first helicopter to perform a loop and to be produced with an autopilot.

There are two variants of this helicopter
The HUP retriever, The version made for the Navy
And
The H-25 Army mule, The exact same version as the HUP retriever but instead it was made for the Army,
This helicopter would inspire the making of chinook, (and other future helicopters similar to the HUP retriever)
This is the only well-known helicopter (even though there are other helicopters just like this) but this one is the only well-known helicopter to actually be used widely by the Military. And would later go on to inspire more successors made by different aircraft companies such as Vertol and Boeing's Ch-46 sea knight and later the CH-47 made by Boeing alone.
