@Graingy well you can. But this one's made to dogfight. I don't think it need to against bombers or recon. See the other version, it's more fighter than this one.

This thing, you says, engages in interceptions ("destroy incoming menace"), thus I do believe this would be considered an interceptor.

@Graingy an interceptor is made not to fight but to push or destroy enemy planes by sitting around him in menace position: tracker next to it and destroyer behind it.

This one's made to destroy incoming menace near border as fast as it can to don't make ruckus around the countries common border.
