Solent S-160 (fiction jet challenge)
About the plane
The Solent S-160 is a norwegian-built supersonic swingwing businessjet with space for up to 7 passengers and 2 pilots.
Design
The design of the S-160 is, even down to the livery, heavily based on the «Carreidas C160» from the comic «Flight 714 to Sydney», but with a full glass cockpit and sprinkles of my own style.
parts I «borrowed» from other planes (aka Credits)
The PFD is originally by SARACONIKaviationIndustry and slightly modified by me
The Map is borrowed from Whills 's Simple Mirage 2000 V1.1 and modified by me with my very limited understanding of this kind of code...
Things you should know
The plane is so stable that once you set the trim to 1.0G in cruise, you don't really have to do anything anymore and can just sit back and relax.
- the flaps/wingsweep can also be used as trim if the speed is below 630 km/h (340 knots)
- The S-160 can confidently pull 85G without stalling or disintegrating (the people on board aren't important here)
VTOL to adjust wingsweep and flaps
Redline Speed (basically the speed above which you risk causing the plane to disintegrate):3500 km/h (1890 knots)
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT
do NOT turn on the in-game-Autopilot or decrease the wingsweep if turbo is on, as it will completely bug out the game and make the plane uncontrollable, sometimes even crash the game.
Oh yeah and for some reason spawning in midair sometimes does the same but not always???
I have absolutely no idea why that is...
I used a bit of an older version of the S-160, because the newest one has like 350 parts.
I'm really annoyed that it says "ended" already, because for me it's very clearly still the 6. of march, and no timezone was ever specified.
