Neo Emden is a heavy cruiser constructed in 1939 and she was handed over to the HN temporarily for modernization. More 37mm AA cannons was installed and 3 new 90mm FlaK cannons were installed. New triple 203mm L/60 cannon were installed, which has been proved to have excellent ballistics and penetration. After her modernization, she participated in various actions and was retired to be a training ship in 1952.
