Sopwith Pup
100% Historically EXACT replica of the Sopwith Pup, a British single-seater biplane fighter aircraft of the WWI. It entered service with the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Naval Air Service in the autumn of 1916.
See instructions below.
With pleasant flying characteristics and good manoeuvrability, the aircraft proved very successful. The Pup was eventually outclassed by newer German fighters, but it was not completely replaced on the Western Front until the end of 1917.
This one is painted with the Royal Naval Air Service schemes, Fl. Sub. Lt. Bernard Arthur Smart flies this Pup in 21st August 1917 and shots down the Zeppelin L-23.
Enjoy this little piece of history!
