The Mako is a tracked, 30-ton modular infantry fighting vehicle operated by the Aleuztian Ground Defense Force as the new main weapon of the Kikaikahohei (Mechanized Infantry) after replacing the Cold-War era "Shiraya" IFV. The Mako has proven itself to be a successful and solid infantry fighting vehicle design. The Mako is one of the world's best-protected IFVs, while still having a high power-to-weight ratio thanks to it's high-output diesel V10. The Mako will evolve into various models, gradually replacing Shiraya, Kuroshi, Saya and other types of tracked Aleuztian armored platforms. Mako will have modular armor that can be upgraded for specific threats.
