--SPECS AND FLYING NOTES BELOW--
The XCon v2.1.0 is my little project I've been working on, it's a droppable recon pod. It weights 2,500 pounds, and can float. It has a pretty strong payload area, where I normally use ReconMod tubes in. There's a Boom 25 inside. It will float, so feel free to drop it in the water.
The controls are pretty simple.

AG3 - Drop Pod
AG1 - Release Chutes
AG4 - Self Destruct (kinda)
V - Flies the anti-missle methods,
does what It sounds like it should do, it will drop the pod from the wing.

AG1 (Chute release) will drop the 10 parachutes, and these are VERY strong, and survived a 2700 mph nose-dive from 30,000 feet. If you are planning on dropping over water, I'd recommend dropping the chutes until the horizontal speed is gone, and then releasing them for the quickest & least noticeable way of doing it.

AG4 will drop two rockets inside of the craft. This should destroy complex things inside the SecurePod, but not explode it. (Ex. the Boom 25 won't explode)

Flying tips:

If you're dropping over water, I'd say be at least 15,000 ft in the air while dropping, while on land, I'd try to get within 500 feet of the target to drop it, as the chutes slow it down A LOT.

Aircraft Tips:

This is a very tall craft, so the AN-225 did it well. Also, if you are running it with a fighter, you can't put it on the wing, as it weights over 2,500 and will likely cause it to be unbalanced.
