Visually there's not much difference from the Mark I, but the Mark II has a number of improvements under the hood: tremendously improved handling, a much higher top speed, and more powerful railguns. With an upgraded dual-sensitivity control system, in fast turn mode, the Thor II can turn on a dime even at 5000 mph and above; and in precise control mode it can make fine adjustments without the slightest wobble. The Thor II flies steady as a rock (a very fast, flying rock), making it an ideal railgun platform. The bigger railguns make for much larger explosions, which on the one hand make it easy to see when you've hit a distant target, but on the other hand, the giant fireball can obscure other targets nearby - but that's not too much of a problem, just overshoot the target by 5 miles or so, make a hard 180 degree turn, then switch to precise mode to line up your next shot. The best approach speed is between 1600 and 4000 mph, but I've made successful attack runs at 6000 mph. As for top speed, I've reached 15,656 mph (Mach 21) at 75,000 feet - and it's still maneuverable at that speed.
