The Workhorse
The Workhorse is one of the most common, rugged and cheap Atlantic Seaboard aircraft. A versatile airframe used in everything as a reconnaisance aircraft, torpedo bomber, airliner... it is the smallest aircraft to use the twinned 300 HP engines more typical of large Eastern Seaboard aircraft. While their low weight to thrust ratio makes these engines more inefficient than the near-ubiquitous single 250 HP ones almost everyone uses early into the rebirth of aviation, they are preferred for long-range aircraft because each engine's half can be operated independently, making it possible to service the engine in flight by taking turns between each half. In the particular case of The Workhorse, this enables it to serve as a light cargo aircraft that can easily take detours around warzones.
As a torpedo bomber, it's not really capable of threatening the old pre-Crumbling USS ships, but it IS more than capable of being a threat to post-Crumbling steamships.
