@Mudkip You seem to rely on the type excessively.
The first challenge to destroying it is finding it. Tank Destroyer crews spend about three months of their six months of training learning about camouflage and how to best conceal their machine with the terrain. The camouflage paint also blends with the environment on IR and UV spectrums, and the camouflage netting issued breaks up the visual, IR, UV, and radar signature.
You are most likely to locate it when it fires its missiles. The Inferno generates quite a copious amount of smoke when fired. At that point, you probably have about five minutes tops to kill it before it gets away. Most crews can get away in two.
In addition, there will probably be more than one of these things shooting.
