Haven't been as active lately

Lots of stuff happened over the past 2 weeks; I fell sick, lost motivation for a while and felt down. Now it's supposed to be my 1-week school holiday but I still have to go back to school because there are a lot of other programmes going on. And school officially resumes next week.

So yeah, quite busy of late (desperately wanting a break).

Also, this was a hard livery to make, but I managed to do it, without any text label images!

After I post another livery, I'll be releasing a 1950s supersonic bomber that I designed.

About Bamboo Airways

History

Bamboo Airways is an airline owned by the FLC Group. It was founded in 2017.
In March 2018, the airline signed a deal with Airbus for up to 24 A321neos. On 25 June of the same year, it ordered 20 Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

The airline started operating using leased aircraft, before it received the aircraft it had ordered from Airbus. It received its first A320neo in November 2019, and its first 787 1 month later.

In March 2022, the founder and chairman, as well as several key figures, of Bamboo Airways's parent group FLC were arrested over alleged market manipulation, fraud and appropriation of properties. Concerned that the crisis would negatively affect the operations of the carrier and damage customers' rights and safety, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam announced that it will closely monitor and supervise Bamboo Airways for a certain period of time, while Bamboo Airways declared that it faced little disruption and its business was still running "smoothly".

Followed by the authorities' investigations aiming at its parent company FLC Group, Bamboo Airways stated that it was needing a "strategic investor". Local media has reported that an unknown new owner has already started acquiring Bamboo Airways by refreshing the board of directors of the enterprise, announcing restructure plans for Bamboo Airways as well as cutting connections between Bamboo Airways's operations and its "former" owner FLC Group.

As of December 2022, Bamboo Airways's website no longer mentions the names of its founders, including the "FLC Group" brand. In the financial report of 2022's third quarter, FLC has formally confirmed that its stake in Bamboo has been reduced to just over 21%, losing its dominant stakeholder position.

Operating Structure

Bamboo Airways flies to Australia, Southeast Asian countries, Germany and Britain.

Despite offering low-cost flights, it does not market itself as a budget airline, and instead follows the "hybrid airline" model. Unlike other low-cost carriers, Bamboo offers business class.

The airline markets itself as having "5-star service", and aims to become a real 5-star airline.

It is also aiming to boost the number of aircraft in the fleet to 35 by the end of 2022, 42 in 2023 and 100 in 2028.
