D-LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin (DELAG)

7,801 NorthwestIndustries  6.9 years ago

Here it is! After 3 weeks of development, I am proud to present the Graf Zeppelin!

Instructions: throttle to 90% then throttle up slowly until this beast starts to rise. Once airborne, VTOL up to start engines.

If the airship lists upwards when on full forward, use trim to balance it out. As usual, roll to steer and pitch is pitch.

How do you use the weightless fuel cheat? Can it be done with overload?

@TheBoeingEngineer it’s not that bad part count wise. I think they did a very good job of making a high quality airship with a relatively low part Graf. (Bad joke). I can understand however (as someone who used to play on an iPod that would lag when playing the wasp) how lag issues can be encountered on weaker devices.

This thing is great! While it’s a bit small, it flys great and has enough airtime for a long and slow landing on the uss beast, as well as a return missing 2 engines (not enough clearance). I am quite a fan of the controls, so much so that I modeled the controls of my Sadie-Class after them.

@DanDaFreakinMan technically no. A blimp is a non rigid airship with no internal skeleton. Shape maintained entirely by gas pressure (effectively just a long ballon with fins and engines). Zeppelins such as the Graf were rigid, with internal skeletons. While this would increase weight it allowed for airships to be built much larger. Hope you have a nice day

Looks alright, flies a bit slow, especially on elevation, but it's a blimp =p
