Edward Thomas used to worked in the Corris Railway in Wales, He was built in 1921 and started to work in the Corris Railway until its closure in 1948, but in 1951 he was taken to the Talyllyn Railway and was restored, He was also the inspiration of Peter Sam (Stuart) who works at the Sodor And Midlands Railway until it eventually closed and was brought to the Skarloey Railway.
