LF-13 Cardinal II | Light Fighter Challenge
In 1962-1963 The YF-5 Tiger II went against the YLF-13 Cardinal II in a competition for the USAF’s next light fighter. Despite the reluctance of the USAF to induct the LF-13 due to it being the 13th model in the Lime Air fighter lineup, the model was a proven platform and won overall in maneuverability, weapon load, and speed (only by a few miles). In 1967, Lime Air wanted to expand their international market so they made the LF-13b, a much needed upgrade to avionics, engines, and problems with the “A” model. Though going out of service in the late 1980s, many countries with smaller air forces used them until the LF-24 was sold internationally in the 2000s.
ACTIVATED GROUPS:
AG1-2 to start right and left engines.
AG3 for arterburner.
AG4-5 for lights.
AG6 to drop weapons.
AG7 for canopy.
Hope you enjoy my submission!

appearance review:
7/10
that moment when no radar.
why is the gun on the nose, a10 style
I mean, I would understand why if you used a rotary cannon but this is an autocannon, moreover single barreled
that, said nice design, very plausible for it's time
looks pretty maneuverable, and stable
kinda like the F-5
yeag
