Blohm und Voss 359
The Blohm und Voss 359, an experiment based off the B&V 357 that turned the asymmetrical 357 into a symmetrical ground attacker.
Development started around mid 1940, being supervised by Richard Vogt, and drew inspiration heavily from his past Blohm und Voss 141. By 1942, the BV 357 had plans finalized, and a prototype finished. Unfortunately, little interest was given to Vogt's aircraft, as by 1942 Germany was already losing air superiority on all fronts.
But, come 1944, the BV 357 prototype was hasitly refitted into the BV 359, having turned into a fully symmetrical aircraft.
A second BMW 003 Jet engine to balance increase thrust, as well as a second tail boom to attach to the horizonal stabilizer.
For weapons, the 539 has a variety to choose from; six MG 131 machine guns mounted on the inner portion of the wing, and four MG 151 machine guns mounted on the outer portion of the wings. With all the guns carried in the wings, this left little space for ammo. The 151's carred only 200 rounds, and the 131's only 150 each.
Additionally to the guns, the 359 carried moddified Werfer-Granate 21 air-to-air unguided missiles, the metal casing around the missle being removed, and SC 100 bombs on it's belly.
Although armed with an insane number of weapons, it's been reported to of flown over the Eastern Front, and returned with it's weapons used. After that, the hanger it was kept in became captured, and the plane destroyed shortly after by Soviet troops, out of fear of the plane falling back into German hands.
This plane is based of an ASYM prototype by MrVaulttech basically an asymmetrical to symmetrical conversion and other modifications mainly weapons and this story is also written by him.
Controls are all standard with VTOL controlling flaps, this thing flies great I think. enjoy!
