The Chrome Strike (TECHNOLOGY READINESS LEVEL 9)
This is it, The Chrome Strike is finally finished. I started working on this project in February of this year. It was originally intended to act as a SSTO (Single Stage To Orbit) space plane. Remarkably I have achieved just that, sadly Simpleplanes restrains me from useing a hybrid engine. A hybrid engine acts as a jet engine within an atmosphere and as a rocket engine when outside an atmosphere. Nevertheless I've run so many test, I have even compared it to the U-2, I downloaded a verry accurate recreation that someone had made I'm sorry I do not remember who it was that made it but I am verry thankful. In the comparison test the U-2 climbed to it's famous 77,000 ft at a stable 30° incline, under the same conditions The Chrome Strike climbed to 68,000 ft, while this is not as high or higher the U-2 traveled at about 260 mph whereas The Chrome Strike traveled at a whopping 680mph! being that high traveling at that velocity would create a verry wide parabala! had I been able to switch to a "rocket mode" I most definitely would have been able to get in orbit. (if one existed in Simpleplanes) When Kerbal Space Program comes out for the PS4 I want to remake The Chrome Strike and achive what it was designed to do. I am friends with my former master teacher from an internship I participated in with NASA and told him about my planes capabilities which he was highly impresses with. I hope you all enjoy flying The Chrome Strike. Now for an explanation of activation groups and other important information. activation group 1 will activate the main engine and activate the rotors that are connected to two of the verticle stableizers which greatly improves the yaw control, activation group two unlocks the air breaks, activation group 3 and VTOL all the way down allows you to fold the wings (this is for storage ect.) the ability to fold the wings also allows you to manually adjust the diherdal mid-flight if you only adjust it slightly! (one of the things that allowed me to get so
