Fictional background:
After sightings of several Unidentified Aircrafts (U.A.) around the Alolan Region, its Ministry of Defense sees the importance of improving its air defense network. Apart from buying large amounts of HF-380 Latias interceptors and HF-381 Latios fighters from Silph Co. , it also seeks to train new fighter pilots. Aether Foundation knows this, and presents its own proposal for a jet trainer: the AT-731 Pikipek. With agility matching that of an actual jet fighter and easy-to-master controls, it proved to be a welcome addition to the Alolan Region Air force.
