Test

The F-15 is one of the superior aircraft with its maneuverability, acceleration, range, weaponry and advanced avionics. The F-15's electronic system is capable of detecting, gathering information, tracking and attacking multiple enemy aircraft. The weaponry is designed to enable a person to engage in air combat safely and efficiently.

HISTORY

Test
XJ-14-01 at its first flight.

In the early 90s, Kovindia wanted a fast, agile and combat-capable aircraft to replace his aging aircraft. Thereupon, KFAI™ initiated work on the XJ-14 prototype in 1990. With the completion of the domestic engine and some avionics, the first XJ-14-01 0022 prototype was produced. Later, the XJ-14-01 0130 and XJ-14-01 0108 prototypes were also produced. XJ-14-01 0022 made its first flight on September 22, 2004. Later, the 0130 and 0108 prototypes also made their first flights.

XJ-14-01 0108 crashed in 2005 due to software error during test flight. The pilot of the test flight was killed. Prototypes were maintained and software errors were corrected for several years after the accident; production of prototypes continued. After 7 prototypes, the first 2 FJ-15s were commissioned on 14 August and 28 August 2012 respectively.

The FJ-15, alike to the US F-15, has consistently demonstrated exceptional performance in all its missions. Distinguished by its superior speed, higher altitude capabilities, and increased payload, the FJ-15 offers enhanced tactical advantages. Furthermore, the FJ-15 GEN-II Block 10 incorporates an advanced AI system designed to assist pilots in various scenarios. In the event of pilot incapacitation, the AI can autonomously control the aircraft and execute a safe emergency landing. Future Block 20 developments aim to equip the aircraft with AI capabilities for autonomous dogfighting and expanded combat functionalities.
