Monthly Challenge (Build a JSF)
THIS CHALLENGE HAS FINALLY ENDED!!! AND THROUGH SOME VERY TOUGH JUDGING, THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE OF THE WORLD (MYSELF) HAS CHOSEN A FINAL THREE (ACTUALLY FOUR) PLANES. EACH PLANE WAS JUDGED OUT OF 50 POINTS, BASED ON FIVE CRITERIA, WORTH 10 POINTS EACH, THE FIRST CRITERIA WAS SURVIVABILITY; THE SECOND, SHORT-TAKEOFF CAPABILITIES; THE THIRD, SPEED; THE FOURTH, AGILITY; AND THE FIFTH WAS BASED ON LOOKS. IT WAS ALSO POSSIBLE TO RECEIVE A TOTAL OF TEN EXTRA CREDIT POINTS, FIVE FOR VERTICAL LANDING CAPABILITIES AND FIVE FOR WEAPONS. .............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. THIRD PLACE ENDED UP BEING A TIE BETWEEN ROHAN FROM INDIA AND VIKDESIGNS FROM THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA WITH 46 POINTS. SECOND PLACE GOES TO XWING WITH HIS FANTASTIC "JSF CHALLENGE" PLANE, STANDING UP FOR THE USA WITH 48 POINTS. LAST AND DEFINITELY NOT LEAST IS FIRST PLACE. FIRST PLACE WAS TAKEN BY THE "GEAT" AND ALL POWERFUL, AND ALSO FROM THE USA, ALLSTARSHIP!!! CHOOSING NOT TO RECEIVE ANY EXTRA CREDIT IN WEAPONRY, HE WAS STILL ABLE TO PULL OUT AN AMAZING SCORE OF 53.5! ...................................................................................................................
FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE INTERESTED, WE HAD PEOPLE FROM THE USA, INDIA, CANADA, UK, AUSTRALIA, GERMANY, FRANCE, ISREAL, PHILIPPINES, MACEDONIA, AND EVEN ESTONIA AND THE MOON. ............................................................................................................. The Joint Strike Fighter program is a development and aquisition program intended to replace a wide range of existing fighter, strike, and ground attack aircraft for the United States, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Italy, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands and their Allies. Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and McDonnel Douglas participated in the competition to build the next gen fighter. McDonnel Douglas's design was rejected due to the complexity of their design. Lockheed's X-35 was eventually chosen as the final design, however, I believe the F-35 could be better, and that's where your challenge comes in.
I am now the Department of Defense for the whole world(somehow) and I want your nation to build me a JSF that is better than the F-35(even if your country was not listed above). I want a plane that is survivable and capable of STOs off of USS Tiny for my Navy, the same plane should be fast and agile for my Air Force, and my Marine Corps wants it to be capable of STOVL, but if it is not capable of VL, that's fine, but it will give you extra points when the time comes to choose the winner. When you post your design (has to be a successor so I don't have to go on a wild goose chase), make sure you state your nation because the nation who has the winning plane will recieve an extra 5 star rating to an aditional plane per each contestant from that nation. The builder of the first place plane will recieve a total of five five star ratings including the rating mentioned above and the rating that each contestant will recieve on the plane that is entered. Second place will receive a total of 3 five star ratings and third will receive a total of 2. The plane must be made of less than 350 blocks with no more than 6 engines. Use your imagination for these!!!! "BATTLE OF THE NATIONS" STARTS NOW!!!!!! and ends next week 5/4/15 at about this same time. (Sorry you had to read so much)

14.0k ElijtheGeatI do get points from it, but I don't ask for any, it's not the reason for me doing it. I do it 1. because people really liked my first one, other people got a ton of fun out of it, 2. it gives people inspiration to build something geat and get out of their comfort zone. 3. this is a ton of work and time on my part, I have to test each plane fairly, filling out 2 pages of info on people's planes. @DragonCreations However, you could have put the comment that you put above on my mother's day card, however, that wasn't for points either, I didn't expect people to rate it, I just felt bad that I hadn't gotten my mom anything, so I did something unique, not asking for points. I hope that sort of clears stuff up for you, you're still a geat plane designer in my eyes, feel free to post your geat ideas, but they should be things that benefit other players if you are asking for ratings9.5 years ago
