Amazing United Transit
For 2030 transport/passenger challenge
Future Fiction
In 2026 Amazon units with UPS creating a new hybrid passenger/cargo business known as AMAZing United Transit, or sometimes just AMAZing Air. The transport, AUT-101, you see here was created in 2029 and excels in cargo hauling. Submissions to a transport passengers in what are called people pods that stow inside the cargo hold (none showed here) where turned down by the FTA, TSA, and most sane folks. Supplementary people where allowed to sit in the what are known as "wing vans" which detach after landing to deliver people and packages with as little delay as possible. AUT-101 made waves not just with its odd design but its AI system, making it the first full sized drone to fly internationally.
*CONTROL
AG 3: TURNS on main engines, purple lights come on to indicate. TURN ON TO FLY, omg.
AG 1: Releases wing van 1, and activates its engines. make sure AG 3 is turned off if you want to drive the van and not have major incident.
AG 2: Releases wing van 2, and activates its engines. SAME rules as AG 1.
VTOL: Pull down to open cargo bay from front.
Cameras Camera 1, orbit cam for van 1, Camera 2, orbit cam for van 2.
Trim: you'll need to trim up a lot when wing vans are connected.
Pitch: It was working for me 99% of the time, but did have a weird flip end over end issue once. If you come across this, maybe fix please. Thxs.
Landing: Nice and steady down power as you approach. It takes a fairly long runway to land, but glides quite nicely for a while for such as beast.
