Role: Single seat air superiority fighter
The TF-17 Avenger represents the first generation of ATLAS Flankers. The Avenger family resembles the SU-27 and 33 aircraft but with minor changes to the fuselage. The Avengers are powered by ATLAS made engines and are equipped with avionics also designed by ATLAS. The TF-17A is the standard fighter variant of the Avenger family.
Also, I'm very certain the pilot was severely disciplined for what he did in the thumbnail.

The Wright Isles Air Force Would Like To Purchase 2.1k Units Of The TF-17A Avenger.
Good thing the Buzzer Squadron is legally permitted to fly N.O.E almost everytime cause it's their standard tactic as interdictors. I feel bad for the pilot in that Avenger
